Unity City is the only city on Unity. By order of the Union, the planet remains otherwise unsettled. Located at the planets northern pole, it is a large metropolis formed by the administration of the Union and representatives of various other groups. The city has a huge energy shield built around it, with a single entry point at the top through which ships may land. The shield is not just for defence, it also keeps oxygen inside which is generated by countless large oxygen generators.

All windows in the city are made of a special kind of energy field that allows light to go in (so people can look out of the window), but not out (so people cannot look inside). This is not just to prevent espionage, but also to keep light pollution to an absolute minimum. Having no star, Unity have a magnificent and unobstructed view of the galaxy and since its atmosphere is closely controlled by the terraformation systems, the skies are always crystal clear.

Unity City features the main Senate Building, the Offices of the Mayor of Unity in a nearby building, and the primary Jedi Temple where the Jedi Council meets. The club Purgatory offers a place for senators and other important officials to relax outside of the public eye.

UTRACAS is the Unity Trafic Routing And Collision Avoidance System. Every hovercar has to log into the system when they travel, so the system can route the cars over the designated driving lanes. This prevents collisions during the high speeds of which the cars travel.

When a car disconnects from the system during travel, an automated alarm signal is sent to the local control station. It is extremely dangerous to disconnect from the system during travel, given the busy and chaotic three dimensional traffic situation, and doing so almost certainly results in terrible traffic accidents and death if you don’t exactly know what you are doing.

UTRACAS is divided in several districts, each covering a part of the city. And it is customary to save traffic data around time of accidents so it can be used to determine what happened and who is guilty.
